This post lays out the premise for why the Biden presidency ( including AG Melvin Garland) could be judged by posterity to be the worst and weakest in American history for its failure to stand up to the forces of tyranny and insurrection.
When the people understand the levers of manipulation, they gain the power to overcome it. Of course they still have to have the meta cognitive skills to recognize when it’s happening, the emotional agility to quiet their limbic reactions, and the focus to tap into their resourceful brain.
An important distinction, I think, is this: during Machiavelli's times, people rose to power without citizens actually having a say. But today this is not so. This demonstrates that incompetent and ignorant people rise to power because incompetent, ignorant people elect them. After all, Trump didn't become president of the US - twice - entirely because of his manipulation, etc. He's actually quite dumb. The same happened in Italy with a crook and ignoramus like Berlusconi becoming a prime minister, and currently Meloni, who is a proven fascist (she demonstrated with descendants of Mussolini).
In the end, stupid people want stupid people like them, as leaders. After all, there's no state propaganda in the United States, Italy etc as in Russia or North Korea, whose people might actually have an excuse for their ignorance.
Machiavelli, and people like him seem clever or worse yet devious. I kept looking for “foolishness” and could not find any. Please help, why was “Foolish” chosen for the title?

Thank you.

Blindly following is the biggest problem.
