Economist and former Greek finance minister, Yanis Varoufakis, presents a radical yet surprisingly intuitive proposal for restructuring the global economy.
Rather than getting rid of the capital markets that help facilitate business startups why not have independent corporate boards of directors that are not in the stranglehold of the CEO.
This idea is not new. I do not know who the idea came from, but I think Rutger Bregman mentioned the name of rhe person who said something aabout it in one of his articles
This idea must be complemented with another issue that is necessary to address within the companies, I talk about the preparation and procurement of the welfare of its workers. An employee who is unhappy with the company will not use his vote in favor of it. On the other hand, if the company shows interest in their employees, then they will also be reciprocal.
I wish people like Varoufakis had the guts to go one step more up the latter. Instead of pretending Bezos, Zuckerberg and Musk have any real power. Kind of concluding our problems can be solved with some anti-monopoly legislations or something in that range.
You tend to believe he is just trying to give first aid to some outdated conceptions about the world and it's powerstructures.

Thank God this man is nowhere near the seat of power and Greece is finally moving in a positive direction, unlike much of Europe.
